Caitlin Power
Caitlin Power has been recognized nationally for redefining womenswear through classic tailoring, architectural details, and sharp silhouettes. Her inspirations stem from her muse Kate Lanphear, to futurism, architecture, and androgynous cuts. Power has gained notable recognition from Elle, Flare, and FASHION for her signature harmony of fine tailoring, edgy details and her trademark, leather.
Born and raised in Calgary, Power discovered her passion for design at a young age, and later went on to study Fashion Design at Lethbridge College. Power established her self-titled contemporary women’s ready-to-wear label in 2008. Debuting at Western Canada Fashion Week, she was awarded the title for the Emerging Designer Competition.
Since making the move to Toronto just one year ago, Power continues to impress Canada and build upon her national following by showcasing her coveted collections at Toronto Fashion Week.
As stated by Power, “Tailoring is important within the brand. I focus on sophisticated, classic silhouettes, but make them youthful with edgy details. I use leather in unexpected places, and focus on the female form, making style lines accentuate a woman’s curves. My woman commands attention, and dresses sharp to receive it.”
