Vinicius Lacerda is a new Toronto-based designer, born in São Paulo, Brazil. At the age of 20, Lacerda took on an intensive two year fashion design program, quickly followed by an opportunity at well-known design label, Line Knitwear.
Now, just three years later, with the hopes of filling a void in Canadian fashion, Vinicius is launching his own label, Lacerda. Inspired by his ideal woman, music, art and childhood dreams, Lacerda combines his love of texture, print and masculine shapes to display his quest for unconventional minimalism in womanswear. Triggered by his love of individuality, Lacerda finds a balance of a 90′s youth in revolt with a modern take on proportions, to communicate the label’s identity.
